A quick note before you start chatting. Our networked AI service may appear under different names, including Momo. In this Privacy Policy, we refer to it as the “Service.” Before you start chatting, here are a few important points about what the Service receives, how it works, and what you may want to avoid sharing.

The Service is designed to receive information shared in conversations where the Service is present. The Service does not have blanket access to your phone, contacts, photos, camera roll, other messages, or other chats where the Service has not been added. If the Service is added to a group chat, it does not receive messages or media sent before it was added.

The Service also works differently from a private one-on-one chatbot. It is designed to support interactions across a network of users, and information shared with the Service may help support more useful connections or provide better context in other conversations. If the Service appears to know something about you, it may be because you shared it, another user shared it in a conversation where the Service was present, or it was available from public online sources. The Service is designed to be thoughtful about how information is used, but we recommend that you do not share information that is highly sensitive, private, or confidential.

Privacy Policy

Last updated: August 28, 2026

This Privacy Policy describes how Eigen Industries, Inc. (“Eigen,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, discloses, retains, and protects personal information in connection with our networked AI service, together with related messaging, notice, support, and administrative features (collectively, the “Service”). The Service is currently available through text message in connection with Apple-branded products and related messaging channels, and we may provide additional messaging surfaces or communications channels in the future.

Please read this Privacy Policy carefully. Your use of the Service is also subject to our Terms of Use (the “Terms”), including terms relating to Submissions, Responses, Usage Data, communications-related terms, AI Technology, acceptable use, disclaimers, limitations of liability, and related terms.

General Information

This Privacy Policy applies to personal information collected through the Service, including iMessage and SMS communications, separate messaging-line notices, voice memos, media, transcripts, and other interactions that link to this Privacy Policy. It covers individuals who interact with the Service, individuals who are mentioned in conversations with the Service, and individuals who receive communications through the Service. It does not apply to third-party websites, services, platforms, messaging providers, or other third parties that we do not control.

For purposes of this Privacy Policy, “personal information” means information that identifies, relates to, describes, or could reasonably be linked to an individual or household. Personal information does not include information excluded from applicable privacy laws, such as publicly available information, deidentified information, or aggregated information.

Networked AI Disclosure
The Service is a networked AI service designed to support interactions across a broader network of users. Information shared with the Service may be used to inform, contextualize, or improve the Service’s interactions with you and with other users, including Mutual Friends. The Service is designed to use information with discretion and does not simply repeat one user’s messages to another. However, information you share with the Service may not remain limited to your conversation with the Service, and by using the Service, you acknowledge this networked functionality.

Information the Service Does Not Collect
The Service does not collect or receive information from conversations where the Service is not present. In a one-on-one conversation, the Service receives only the messages, files, links, images, audio, and other content you send directly to the Service. In a group chat, the Service receives only the messages, files, links, images, audio, and other content sent in that group chat from the point the Service is added onward.

Adding the Service to a conversation does not give the Service blanket access to your device, contacts, photos, camera roll, files, other messages, or any other conversations, groups, or individual chats where the Service has not been added, unless you separately grant access through a supported feature or integration. The Service does not receive messages or media sent in a group chat before it was added. You can remove the Service from a chat at any time, and the Service will no longer receive new messages from that chat after removal.

Information We Collect
We collect different types of personal information depending on how you interact with the Service.

Information you provide to the Service

  • Phone number and messaging identifiers used to communicate with the Service.

  • Message content, including text messages, media (images, videos, audio files), voice memos, and transcripts of voice communications.

  • Information you voluntarily share in conversations, such as your name, interests, preferences, opinions, experiences, and information about your relationships and social connections.

Information we derive or generate

  • AI-derived user profiles, including long-term “memories,” inferred preferences, personality traits, interests, and behavioral patterns generated from your interactions with the Service.

  • Social graph information, including information about third parties who are mentioned in your conversations with the Service or who participate in group chats where the Service is present.

  • Conversation summaries, contextual notes, and annotations created by our AI systems or authorized Eigen staff.

Information from third-party sources

  • Publicly available information from social media accounts, public profiles, and other freely available online sources that we use to enrich user profiles and improve the Service’s interactions.

  • Information from messaging platform providers, such as Apple iMessage and Linq, necessary to deliver the Service.

  • Information collected through cookies, pixels, tags, local storage, session replay or heatmap tools, analytics tools, and similar technologies, as described in the “Cookies, Analytics, and Similar Technologies” section below.

Information about third parties

When you communicate with the Service, you may mention or share information about other people, including friends, family members, colleagues, and other third parties. The Service may store and use this information as part of your user profile, social graph, and the broader networked conversational intelligence. If you share information about others, you represent that you have a reasonable basis for doing so. We encourage you to be thoughtful about the information you share regarding third parties.

Sensitive information

Please use care when sharing information with the Service. Because the Service is designed to support interactions across a network of users, you should avoid sharing information that is highly private, confidential, or that you would not want reflected in how the Service responds to you or others.

How We Use Personal Information

We use personal information for the following purposes:

  • Provide, maintain, operate, secure, troubleshoot, and support the Service, including message processing, conversation management, memory and context features, and related functionality.

  • Develop, train, evaluate, test, improve, and refine the Service’s AI models, conversational capabilities, safety features, and related product functionality.

  • Generate and maintain user profiles, memories, preferences, and social graph information to personalize and improve the Service’s interactions with you and other users.

  • Enable the Service’s networked functionality, including using information from your interactions to inform, contextualize, or improve the Service’s interactions with other users.

  • Monitor for and address toxic, abusive, harmful, or otherwise inappropriate content or behavior through safety guardrails and content moderation.

  • Allow authorized Eigen staff to view conversations and annotate data for quality assurance, safety review, model training, evaluation, and product improvement purposes.

  • Send administrative, transactional, product, security, and other non-marketing communications related to the Service, including policy updates and notices delivered via a separate messaging line or other electronic communications channels.

  • Send marketing or promotional communications about Eigen products and offerings, where permitted by law and subject to applicable opt-out rights.

  • Comply with law, respond to legal process, enforce our agreements including the Terms of Use, protect rights, safety, privacy, property, and security, prevent fraud or misuse, and support a merger, financing, acquisition, reorganization, sale of assets, bankruptcy, or similar business transaction.

AI Processing and Third-Party Infrastructure

The Service relies on artificial intelligence and machine learning technologies, including third-party large language model (LLM) providers and cloud infrastructure services, to process conversations, maintain context, and generate responses.

AI and LLM Processing

Your messages and associated data may be processed by third-party LLM and AI infrastructure providers as necessary to provide their services to us. We require these providers to maintain appropriate confidentiality and security protections and to process data only as directed by us.

Human Review

Authorized Eigen staff may review, annotate, and label conversations and AI-derived data for purposes including quality assurance, safety monitoring, model training, evaluation, and product improvement. Human review helps us ensure the Service operates safely, accurately, and in accordance with our content policies and guidelines.

Profile Enrichment

We may supplement the information you provide through conversations with publicly available information from social media accounts and other freely available online sources. This enrichment helps the Service provide more relevant and personalized interactions.

Cookies, Analytics, and Similar Technologies

We and our service providers may use cookies, pixels, tags, local storage, software development kits, session replay or heatmap tools, analytics tools, advertising or measurement technologies, and similar technologies on our website, signup flow, landing pages, and related web experiences. These technologies help us operate and secure our services, remember preferences, understand how users find and interact with our web experiences, measure and improve outreach or campaigns, test product and marketing changes, troubleshoot issues, prevent fraud or misuse, and improve the Service and our communications.

For example, we may use analytics tools or similar services to help us understand how users interact with our website, signup flow, landing pages, and related web experiences. These tools may collect information about your device, browser, IP address, referral source, pages viewed, clicks, scrolling, form interactions, session activity, approximate location derived from IP address, and other usage information.

We may also use these technologies, including advertising pixels or similar tools, to support limited marketing activities, such as measuring campaign performance, understanding whether our outreach is effective, and understanding how users engage with the Service after seeing our outreach. Depending on the technology and applicable law, these activities may be considered targeted advertising, cross-context behavioral advertising, a “sale,” or “sharing” of personal information.

You can control certain cookies and similar technologies through your browser or device settings. Some browsers and devices allow you to block or delete cookies, limit tracking, or send a universal opt-out preference signal, such as Global Privacy Control. Where required by applicable law, we will recognize and honor applicable opt-out preference signals and provide any required notices, controls, or choices related to cookies, analytics, measurement, marketing technologies, targeted advertising, sale, or sharing.

How We Disclose Personal Information

We may disclose personal information as described below:

  • Third-party AI and infrastructure providers: to process conversations, generate responses, host data, and provide computing infrastructure necessary to operate the Service;

  • Messaging platform providers: to deliver messages and operate the Service through Apple iMessage, Linq, SMS, and any additional messaging platforms we may support in the future;

  • Other Service users through networked AI: information you share with the Service may inform how the Service interacts with other users, as described in the “Networked AI Disclosure” section. The Service exercises discretion and does not directly relay messages, but shared information may influence the Service’s responses, context, and conversational intelligence across users;

  • Service providers and contractors: to help us operate, secure, analyze, support, and improve the Service, including safety monitoring, analytics, communications, and customer support;

  • Analytics, measurement, advertising, and marketing vendors: to measure website and signup-flow usage, understand campaign performance, test or improve our web experiences, support limited marketing activities, and, where applicable, engage in activities that may be considered targeted advertising, cross-context behavioral advertising, a “sale,” or “sharing” of personal information under certain state privacy laws, subject to applicable notices and choices;

  • Legal, safety, and rights protection: to comply with law or legal process, enforce our agreements including the Terms of Use, protect rights, safety, privacy, property, or security, and prevent or respond to fraud, misuse, or security incidents;

  • Professional advisors and transaction parties: to support legal, accounting, compliance, insurance, financing, diligence, corporate transactions, and similar business purposes; and

  • With consent or direction: with your consent, at your direction, or as otherwise described when the information is collected.

Communications.

The Service operates through iMessage and SMS messaging. We may also use a separate messaging line or other electronic communications channels to deliver privacy notices, Terms updates, product or security notices, deletion-request confirmations, and other administrative or Service-related communications.

When you interact with the Service via messaging, we collect your mobile phone number, message content, messaging metadata, and related interaction history as needed to provide and manage the Service. We may disclose messaging-related information to service providers that help us send, deliver, and manage messages, subject to appropriate restrictions.

We do not sell, rent, or share mobile information, including mobile phone numbers and messaging consent data, with third parties or affiliates for their own marketing or promotional purposes.

To opt out of SMS messages from the Service, text STOP to any message you receive. To get help, text HELP or contact us using the information in the “Contact Us” section below. If you opt out, we may send a final message confirming your cancellation. Message and data rates may apply. Message frequency varies based on your interactions and Service-related communications.

Data Retention

We retain personal information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide, maintain, support, secure, and improve the Service; maintain user profiles, memories, and conversational context; train and improve AI models; comply with legal, accounting, tax, audit, and recordkeeping obligations; resolve disputes; enforce agreements, including the Terms of Use; and protect our rights and the rights of others.

Retention periods vary depending on the type of information, the purpose for collection, legal and operational requirements, backup and archival practices, and whether the information is actively used in the Service’s networked conversational intelligence.

Because the Service’s AI models and networked conversational intelligence may incorporate learnings derived from your interactions, complete removal of any influence your data may have had on the Service’s behavior may not be technically feasible, even after identifiable personal information has been deleted or deidentified. Where required by applicable law, we will delete, deidentify, or otherwise limit our use of personal information in response to valid requests.

Data Security

We use reasonable safeguards designed to protect personal information in our possession or control, including encryption, access controls, and security monitoring. However, no method of transmission, storage, processing, or electronic security is completely secure. Users are responsible for maintaining the security of their mobile devices and messaging accounts.

Your Privacy Choices

You may have certain choices regarding your personal information, depending on where you live and how you interact with the Service.

  • You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information by texting your request to our separate messaging line or by contacting us using the information in the “Contact Us” section below.

  • You may opt out of SMS messages from the Service by texting STOP to any message you receive. You may request help by texting HELP or contacting us.

  • You may opt out of marketing communications by following the opt-out instructions in those communications or by contacting us. Even if you opt out of marketing communications, we may still send non-marketing communications, such as service, security, and administrative messages.

  • You may have choices related to cookies, analytics, measurement, advertising, marketing technologies, targeted advertising, sale, or sharing. These choices may include browser or device settings, opt-out preference signals such as Global Privacy Control, cookie preference tools if we make them available, or other controls we provide where required by applicable law. Available choices may vary based on applicable law, the technologies we use, and the way you interact with the Service.

  • You may request that we stop using your data to train or improve AI models, subject to technical feasibility and applicable law.

Please note that because the Service is a networked AI, deletion of your personal information may not remove any influence your interactions have had on the Service’s broader conversational intelligence, as described in the “Data Retention” section.

State Privacy Rights

Residents of certain U.S. states may have privacy rights under applicable consumer privacy laws, depending on where they live and the nature of the personal information at issue. These rights may include access, deletion, correction, portability, information about categories of personal information collected, used, disclosed, sold, or shared, and the right to opt out of targeted advertising, “sale,” or “sharing” of personal information, where applicable.

Some state privacy laws may apply differently depending on the context of our relationship with you, the nature of the information at issue, and how the information is processed. We will honor privacy rights and provide state-specific notices, choices, and request processes to the extent required by applicable law.

To submit a privacy request, you may contact us using the information in the “Contact Us” section below or text your request to our separate messaging line. We may need to verify your identity before fulfilling a request. If you submit a request on behalf of another person, we may require proof of authorization and may also require the individual to verify their identity directly with us.

Children’s Privacy and Age Restrictions

The Service is intended only for users who are at least 18 years old. You may not use the Service if you are under 18. We do not knowingly collect, use, or disclose personal information from anyone under 18. If we learn that we have collected personal information from someone under 18, we will take reasonable steps to delete that information, unless we are required or permitted to retain it by law. If you believe that someone under 18 has provided personal information to us through the Service, please contact us using the information in the “Contact Us” section below.

International Data

Eigen is operated from the United States, and our primary infrastructure is hosted in the United States. If you access the Service from outside the United States, please be aware that your information may be transferred to, stored, and processed in the United States and in other countries where our service providers and AI infrastructure providers maintain facilities.

Some of our service providers, including third-party LLM providers, may process data in locations outside the United States. By using the Service, you acknowledge that your information may be transferred internationally. We require our service providers to maintain appropriate safeguards for any data they process, regardless of location.

At this time, the Service is primarily directed to users in the United States. Should we expand to serve users in other jurisdictions, we will update this policy to address applicable cross-border data transfer requirements.

Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we may notify you by one or more methods, which may include notice through the Service, a separate messaging line, SMS or iMessage, email, a website, signup-flow, in-product, or landing-page notice, or another method permitted or required by law. The “Last updated” date above indicates when this Privacy Policy was last revised.
